Delete Multiple Custom Lists Items

We have plus/minus 1400 items in our one custom list.  I am busy with a clean-up and would like to delete over 700.  Currently a nightmare. 

I have to go to the custom list (all good), then click on Edit (all good) but then....  

You find the item you want to delete and click on delete, you wait around 4 seconds and then it takes you to the top of the list

You find the next item (that was just below your previous deleted item) click on delete and wait 4 to 5 sec....

So this exercise will take me around 2 hours (adding in time to find/scroll/click on delete).  

Can you please look into this to allow us to easily select the item on the side we would like to delete and then click on delete.  

Would really be appreciated.

  We have introduced the functionality to retire custom list items, and not just one, but all or multiple from a single screen, with a simple click per item. 

  This will allow you to maintain your data integrity on your previous records, but also retire unused or unwanted custom list items for future use.

  Thanks for the idea. One of things we are considering is multiple edits (and this deletes) on some of the admin functions, like data fields and custom lists, so will revert if we add this to our pipeline.
