It would be great if a user could stop e-mails being sent to their own mailboxes if they are the ones updating the item. As an example, if I am the "Issue Owner" on an Issue and I update the Issue I might not want to get the email about what I updated but I still want the Project Manager and Contact Person on the Issue to be emailed.
There might be a few exceptions to the above example by allowing a user to choose if they want to receive notifications/e-mails about items they updated under their preference page and/or one could also control this globally as an administrator under the system configuration settings.
