It is possible to import an .mpp (MS Project) file and switch to Scheduler, would it be possible to develop an export function to produce a .mpp file for external parties like vendors who use MS Project from Scheduler as a feature?

Guy Jelley Official comment Thanks for the idea Ambrose. The scheduler is PPO's built in tool to allow users to perform scheduling within PPO. As you currently indicated you can still import tasks from MSP, Excel or even create manually. Users may then elect to update the tasks using the scheduler.
PPO has always supported Gantt views and extracts in PDF or Excel and PPO still allows you sync your tasks from MSP back to your original MSP schedule, using the PPO Add-On. Using the sync functionality would have the same impact as the export back to MSP functionality so I don't forsee use building an Export back to MSP, as this already existing via the Add-On.
Lastly, all project resources, including external parties could be given access to PPO, even limited access for externals to view, collaborate, report and update tasks for projects they are involved on.
