Ad-hoc Notifications

Users want the ability to send ad-hoc e-mail notifications to an ad-hoc list of recipients. The list of recipients cannot be determined by a rule and can include many recipients (up to 50).

The e-mail should not necessarily be triggered by an event - the user might be on a particular View Page and want to send an e-mail notification containing the information on that view page.

The ideal would be to click on a button (perhaps next to the Print icon), which would open the user's e-mail program, containing a pre-populated subject and body (as with the normal e-mail notifications), then the user can populate the recipients / CC's and BCC's.

Please consider.

  PPO cannot interact with the users e-mail client in order to pre-populate an e-mail. Browsers specifically prohibit this for security reasons.

  Good afternoon

  We're happy to report that we've addressed this requirement with the introduction of Conversations. Now you can send a conversation to a specific user, a list of users by tagging them or even to all users in a specific user group (by tagging the user group) or all users by using the @all tag from any item in PPO, a risk, an issue, a sprint, a project etc. The conversation will be broadcast to all users and appear in their feed so they can review and react.
