It would be a great idea if the Public Holidays could be added specific per country, e.g the Administrator selects which public holidays they would like to see, and then PPO would automatically reflect all public holidays for the selected country / countries. This will be very useful for projects in multiple countries.

PPO Development Public holidays (as well as week-ends) affect a number of calculations, including time entries (i.e. capacity calculations), planning capacity (e.g. as reflected on the planning dashboards) as well as planned and actual progress calculations on projects.
Are you suggesting employee specific calendars (which would affect time entries as well as projects depending on which employee is assigned to a task) or just project specific calendars or some combination of the two?
Could you also clarify why this is important to you given that it is a fairly complex issue and the impact of public holidays from a planning perspective is usually not that great.

Guy Jelley There are currently a number of clients that are asking about this due to the workforces they have in multiple locations. The current functionality only allows a single calendar or for multiple location clients no calendar.
The need I experience is that to get the resource allocation and capacity calculations correct it would be great to allocate an employee to a calendar such that there non-working time is correctly calculated. In the absence of this we have to create non-working time projects and tasks (for resource planning and allocation) and resources have to book time to holidays on their timesheets to "balance" their timesheets.
I don't think the flagging of public holidays on dates on the calendar should be complicated by this and it could be dropped or applied based on the current users calendar.

Arne Gething In Australia different states have different public holidays, so depending on which state a user is in, their holidays differ. Need to be able to have holiday options per user based on the state they are in.

Guy Jelley Arne, thanks for this. We actually did a detailed spec for this recently and are considering for the pipeline. Will revert once in place.
