How can I customise e-mail notifications using intelligent tags?

The subjects and bodies of e-mail notifications can be customised by using intelligent e-mail tags. This allows clients to add content such as the Project name, Issue / Task / Risk name, Priority and any other related information into the subject and body of the e-mail.

To customise e-mail notifications go to Administration >> Business Rules and add or edit business rules for sending e-mails, as per the following knowledge base article.

When specifying the e-mail subject and / or body, add an intelligent tag by inserting the PPO field name of the required field into curly brackets. The PPO field name is shown on the Data Fields >> List page in the Field Name column:

For example, to add the Issue Title in the e-mail notification add the word: {IssueTitle} to the e-mail subject:

When the e-mail notification is triggered the Issue Title will appear in the notification sent:

Intelligent e-mail tags can be used to customise all e-mail notifications set up from Administration >> Business Rules.
