I would like to preface this entry by stating that its very obvious I'm a fan of PPO. Had I not, we wouldn't have implemented it at another company. This message isn't meant to be seen as malicious, but I wanted to openly ask about a section that has always been a bit of a thorn in my side.
Personally, I have always found the resource demand part of PPO to be its weak point. While the form approach works great for most areas, this is less effective when compared to the more grid-based approach that a lot of other products on the market offer.
Working with line managers and other resources that have little to no exposure to PPO becomes very difficult and either requires the admin team to enter all data ourselves, or export to excel so that it's in a better format for those people, which breaks the whole reason we want to use PPO in the first place.
Is there anything in the works to address this area of PPO at all, or is this something that would be more considered for additional development within each individual company environment?
Once again, I LOVE PPO, but i wanted to ask the question and not beat around the bush.
