This article provides detailed explanations on the report and dashboard views available in PPO:
Report Views
PPO allows users to extract reports in three different views. The views applicable to a specific report are displayed on the left-hand side of the screen, in the Actions panel, once a report has been selected.
1. Report View
The Report View opens the report in a browser window. Should you require printing the report you can do so by using normal browser functionality.
2. Datasheet View
The Datasheet View is a dump of the report data into Excel. No formatting is applied (i.e. no logo or text formatting). This report view can be used to make pivot tables and other graphs in Excel.
3. PDF View
The PDF View opens the report as a PDF document. This view is ideal for distributing the report either manually, or via various report mailers that have been setup on the instance.
Dashboard Views
PPO allows users to extract dashboards in two different views. The views applicable to a specific dashboard are displayed on the left-hand side of the screen, in the Actions panel, once a dashboard has been selected.
1. Dashboard View
The Dashboard View opens the dashboard in a browser window. Should you require printing the dashboard you can do so by using normal browser functionality.
2. PDF View
The PDF View opens the dashboard as a PDF document. This view is ideal for distributing the dashboard either manually, or via various report mailers that have been setup on the instance.
